Max Walleser

Max Walleser (born June 18, 1874 in Mannheim , † April 15, 1954 in Wiesloch ) was a German Indologist. He was a professor at the Institute for Buddhist Studies in Heidelberg.

Live and act

During his studies he became a member of the Teutonia Freiburg fraternity in the winter semester of 1893 .

In 1929 he was elected a corresponding member of the then Soviet Academy of Sciences .
