Max Walloschke (born March 6, 1889 in Breslau ; † September 4, 1974 in Hanover ) was a multiple German and European champion as a weightlifter and professional wrestler in the 100 kg class. He fought a total of 283 fights between 1936 and 1952, of which he finished 169 victorious, 80 with a draw and 34 with a defeat.

After his last fight in 1952, on June 18, 1952, he opened the Max Walloschke restaurant named after him at the Steintor in Hanover , which was particularly known for its pork knuckle with sauerkraut . The vibraphonist Lionel Hampton composed according to legend, as a guest of the restaurant in 1974 on a napkin the knuckle-Boogie , whose first measures he the day after the visit to the restaurant in the Golden Book of the city earned.

Walloschke became chairman of the Bundesliga bowling club Neutral , later its honorary chairman, and in 1970 with his team German champions in bowling on board lanes. Parts of his estate are in the archives of the Lower Saxony Institute for Sports History .
