Max Karl Otto Heinrich Josias von Loewenstein zu Loewenstein (born November 6, 1870 in Hofgeismar , † February 22, 1949 in Marburg ) was a German civil servant. Among other things, he was district administrator of the Marburg district .

Life

Max von Loewenstein zu Loewenstein was the son of the royal Prussian major Otto von Loewenstein zu Loewenstein and his wife Emma, ​​née von Dehn-Rotfelser. He married on November 6, 1870 in Hofgeismar Magda, née Andres (born November 1, 1882 in Kirn ).

Von Loewenstein zu Loewenstein attended high school in Marburg and after graduating from high school, studied law at the University of Marburg . In July 1894 he became a court trainee . After his legal clerkship at the district court and with the public prosecutor's office in Marburg and with the Trier government, he became a government assessor at the district office in Bad Kreuznach in July 1898 , before he was transferred to the Liegnitz district in 1903 .

On April 27, 1905, he was appointed district administrator in the Löwenberg district in Silesia . On May 8, 1911, he was initially provisional and from December 1, 1912, he was definitely district administrator in the Marburg district . After allegations (it was about the distribution of shoes) he resigned as district administrator at his own request and was appointed councilor of the Erfurt government on February 12, 1924. There he became senior government councilor in 1926 and government director in 1933. He retired on April 1, 1936.

He was a lieutenant in the Landwehr - field artillery and knight of honor of the Order of St. John .
