A Maxi 68 (hull number 807)

The Maxi 68 is a small, Swedish family boat.

The Maxi 68 was first built in 1976 at the Erje Produkter shipyard in Mariestad , based on a design by Pelle Petterson , and then sold. The additional designation "68" in the class designation resulted from its overall length. The hull is made of injection-molded laminate up to 15 mm, the deck was made in sandwich construction with a core made of Divinycell . The cabin of approx. 4 m² houses two bunks , and there is also a larger one in the foredeck . With a keel weight of 650 kg and a wetted area of 16 m², it has a displacement of 1350 kg. It can be used with an outboard motor of max. 7 kW can be equipped. The hull speed is 5.9 knots . The boat is named after the Svenska Sjöfartsverket classified .

From 1978 the boat's construction was changed somewhat, the compulsory floor was raised and there was a new silver-colored mast from Selden . The boat can be safely controlled even in stronger winds (from wind force 5). With the Maxi you can sail a maximum height close to the wind of about 35 degrees.

1295 copies of the Maxi 68 were built from 1976 to 1981.
