Maximilian Eisenberger (born August 12, 1829 in Burghausen ; † April 9, 1887 in Bad Tölz ) was a. a. Notary and author of historical texts in Bad Tölz.

Eisenberger made a name for himself as the author of the historical texts of the "Driendl'schen historical pictures of the Bavarian people". King Maximilian II of Bavaria appointed him notary in Bad Tölz, not least because of this service. He has also written a ceremony about George the Rich.

The Eisenberger Straße in Bad Tölz still reminds of Maximilian Eisenberger today.

Career

In 1848 he made his Abitur at the  Wilhelmsgymnasium  in Munich. In 1852 he passed his legal state examination and in 1854 he graduated from the State Concurs. In 1859 he was employed as an assessor at the Bad Tölz regional court. In 1862 he took over the notary's office in Bad Tölz. From 1864 he was a major in the Bavarian Landwehr and commander of the Bad Tölz Landwehr battalion.

Awards

Maximilian Eisenberger had been a bearer of the Knightly Order of St. Michael since 1880 . In 1886 he was awarded the Ducal Nassau Military and Civil Merit Order of Adolph von Nassau by Adolph Wilhelm Carl August Friedrich von Nassau-Weilburg for services to the association of the Nassau Fideikomisses in Bavaria.

family

Maximilian Eisenberger was the son of Josef Eisenberger and Elisabeth Meßner and the grandson of Thurn und Taxis ' postmaster Sebastian Eisenberger from Burghausen. He married Magdalena Kuffer, a town fisherman's daughter from Munich, and had seven children with her, only four of whom reached adulthood:

  • Ludwig Friedrich Maria Eisenberger (February 14, 1862 in Bad Tölz; † July 16, 1901 in Munich)
Ludwig became a doctor in Munich and married Barbara Scotzniovsky. Barbara Scotzniovsky was the daughter of the long-time owner of the Porzellanmanufaktur Nymphenburg , Kommerzienrat Ferdinand Scotzniovsky, and granddaughter of the builder of a number of important buildings by, among others, Leo von Klenze in Munich,  Franz Höllriegel .
  • Friedrich Maximilian Maria Eisenberger (July 16, 1863 in Bad Tölz; † December 25, 1942)
Friedrich made a career a. a. at the Süddeutsche Bodenkreditanstalt in Munich. His sons were Carl Friedrich Eisenberger and Clemens Max Eisenberger .
  • Carl Joseph Maria Eisenberger (born November 7, 1864 in Bad Tölz, † September 3, 1951 in Munich)
Carl became a lawyer, privy councilor and first president of the supervisory board of Hypobank in Munich. He marries Ella Scotzniovsky, the sister of his sister-in-law Barbara Scotzniovsky. He later also became legal advisor to the ducal Wittelsbach family in Bavaria.
  • Eugenius Georg Maria Eisenberger (born February 28, 1867 in Bad Tölz)
Eugenius worked as a pharmacist in Regensburg and Munich. He married his sister-in-law Barbara Scotzniovsky after the death of his eldest brother.
