Maximilian Englbrecht (born July 17, 1990 in Landshut ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper who was most recently under contract with EV Landshut . He is the son of the former goalkeeper of the German national ice hockey team Bernhard Englbrecht .

Career

Englbrecht started with ice hockey at EV Landshut . From 2005 to 2008 he was in the goal of the Landshut DNL team. In the 2007/08 season, he was also in the squad of the second division team of the Cannibals, but was not used. In 2008 the left catcher switched to Deggendorf Fire from the Oberliga , and he also received a license from ERC Ingolstadt from the German Ice Hockey League . In the 2009/10 season Englbrecht played with the Füchsen Duisburg in the regional league and was a member of the Kölner Haie squad with a development license . In the 2010/11 season he played with the EHF Passau Black Hawks from the league. Before the start of the 2011/12 season he received a license from the Straubing Tigers , and in August 2011 the goalkeeper moved to EV Regensburg . During the season, Englbrecht played his first game in the DEL when he came into play for the injured Jan Guryca in the away game with the Augsburger Panthers . In the penalty shootout, he held two penalties and thus became the match winner.

For the 2012/13 season , Max Englbrecht moved to the Hannover Scorpions as the second goalie . In the following season he remained loyal to the Hanoverians who played in the Oberliga-Nord in 2013/14 . In July 2014 he returned to his home club, EV Landshut , as the second goalkeeper .
