Maximilian Friedrich von Weichs zu Wenne on Brenscheide (* around 1760 ; † December 6, 1846 in Arnsberg ) was Landdrost , Privy Councilor and Canon in various dioceses.

Life

Origin and family

Maximilian Friedrich von Weichs zu Wenne auf Brenscheide came from the noble family von Weichs , which had its origins in Bavaria and whose family branches had also settled in Westphalia in the Electorate of Cologne from the 17th century . He was the son of Clemens Maria von Weichs zu Wenne on Brenscheide and his wife Philippina Bernardina von Wrede zu Amecke. His siblings were Franz Philipp (Canon in Paderborn and Privy Councilor in the Princes' Diocese of Paderborn ), Wilhelm Anton († 1816, Canon in Hildesheim) and Kaspar Karl (1777–1850, ∞ with Maria Anna Countess von und zu Hoensbroech ).

Career and work

In the years 1788 and 1789 Maximilian Friedrich studied at the Georg-August-University of Goettingen law . In 1790 he received a cathedral preacher from Elector Maximilian Franz . He was also canon in Bamberg . He held the office of Drosten in males and in Warstein. Probably the most important position he held was the office of director of the government in the Grand Duchy of Hesse .
