Maximilian Jäger (born January 3, 2000 in Bad Brückenau ) is a German disabled athlete who does paraskisport , paracycling and kayaking .

Athletic career

Maximilian Jäger is paralyzed on one side of the left side due to a prenatal stroke . At the age of four he started alpine skiing , which he competed in from the age of ten in the disciplines slalom and giant slalom (LW9-2 standing). Several times he took podium places in German championships.

In December 2017, Jäger bought his first racing tricycle in Cottbus and got in touch with the paracycling trainer Reneé Schmidt . After a successful sighting, Maximilian Jäger has been living in the Lausitzer Sportschule Cottbus since August 2018 . In the same year he took several second places in European Cup races. At the World Cup race in Baie-Comeau ( Canada ) he won gold in the individual time trial and silver in the road race.

In 2019 Maximilian Jäger won the silver medal in individual time trials and road races in class T1 at the Paracycling World Championships in Emmen , the Netherlands .
