The Rybnik Towarowy – Chałupki railway is a partially double-track electrified railway line in Poland ( Upper Silesia ). It bears the line number 158 in the Polish line numbering. Between Chałupki and Rudyszwałd it runs about 1.2 km parallel to the Bohumín – Kędzierzyn / Koźle railway line.

history

The first part of the railway line between Niedobschütz and Loslau was opened on December 22nd, 1882. At that time had Rybnik already following the of Oderberg about Ratibor Katowice running Wilhelm track . With the opening of this line, Loslau was connected to the railway network. In 1886 the Prussian State Railroad extended the line to Annaberg .

The routing, which was designed for 100 km / h at that time, has essentially been retained until today, although this speed is not used in today's operation.

In 2019 the route will be used by Koleje Śląskie trains and some international and national long-distance trains operated by PKP IC .
