Maximilian "Max" Siry (born April 19, 1891 in Parsberg , † December 6, 1967 in Fulda ) was a German lieutenant general in World War II .

Life

Siry served in the First World War . In the Reichswehr and the Wehrmacht he served in various roles, especially in artillery units. Siry was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on June 13, 1942 as major general and commander of the 246th Infantry Division .

Siry was a British prisoner of war. Conversations with fellow prisoners in the general accommodation were published in 2005.
