McGee, the tiger by Robert Clouse with Rod Taylor in the title role is a film adaptation of a novel by John D. MacDonald . In the United States, the film had the same title as the book: "Darker than Amber".

action

When McGee is fishing with a friend, a woman who is tied up and weighed down with extra weight is thrown from a bridge. After the hero was able to save her, he has to promise not to inform the police. She reveals to him that she knows too much about a human trafficking ring and a series of murders. All three travel together to Nassau, where the series of murders continues. Lonely rich men are lured onto cruises by prostitutes before they disappear. McGee puts an end to this.

production

Robert Clouse staged a film here with strikingly long and bloody depictions of violence.

The brawl at the end of the film, according to one of the cast members, was at some point more than an act.

Jane Russell could be won here for the last time for a role in a feature film.

effect

A few years after this film, Robert Clouse was commissioned to direct the film " The Man with the Death Claw ", which was also known for the depiction of brutal hand-to-hand combat and during which Bruce Lee suffered a real cut injury.
