The McKinley River is the 93 km long right source river of the Kantishna River in Alaska (USA).

The source of the McKinley River is below the tongue of the Muldrow Glacier on the northwest flank of the Alaska Range . The McKinley River initially flows to the west, later to the northwest and finally to the north, before it joins the Kantishna River 35 km east of Lake Minchumina with Birch Creek, which joins from the left . The entire course of the river is located within Denali National Park . The river flows in sections through a wide river bed in which it forms numerous channels. Due to the melting of snow on the glaciers, the river carries the largest amounts of water in the summer months. Tributaries are Thorofare River (outflow of Sunset Glacier ) from the right and Clearwater Creek , Muddy River (outflow of Peters Glacier ) and Slippery Creek from the left.
