The Mechrenga ( Russian Мехреньга, Мегренка ) is a right tributary of the Jemza in the Arkhangelsk Oblast in northwestern Russia .
The Mechrenga has its source southeast of Puksoosero . It flows first to the east, but then makes an arc to the north and maintains this main direction until it joins the Jemza at Ust-Mechrenga . The mechrenga is 231 km long. It drains an area of 5080 km². It reaches its greatest drainage during the snowmelt . The mean discharge (MQ) at the Urozgora gauge , 33 km above the mouth, is 33.6 m³ / s. The most important tributaries are Schorda and Puksa from the left and Mjagdoma from the right.
