The Jemza ( Russian Ёмца ) is a left tributary of the Northern Dvina in the Arkhangelsk Oblast in northwestern Russia .

The Jemza has its origin in Plesetsk district , northwest of the urban-type Plesetsk settlement . It flows in an easterly direction. It passes the small town Sawinski and the launch site at Plesetsk . It then continues its course in a northeasterly direction and shortly after the village of Jemetsk reaches the Northern Dvina.

The Jemza has a length of 188 km and drains an area of ​​14,100 km². Its main tributaries are the Tegra and Waimuga from the left, and the Mechrenga and Bolshaya Tschatscha from the right. The mean discharge is 70 m³ / s.
