The Waimuga ( Russian Ва́ймуга ) is a left tributary of the Jemza , a left tributary of the Northern Dvina , in Arkhangelsk Oblast in northwestern Russia .
The Waimuga has its origin in the small lake Obosero . The Waimuga flows through a swampy forest landscape. Initially it flows west to the confluence of the Werschinka. It then turns north and passes the small urban-type Samoded settlement . After the confluence of the Kima from the left, the Waimuga changes course to the east. 18 km above the estuary, its most important tributary, the Kalashma , meets the Waimuga from the right. Finally the Waimuga flows into the Jemza at Jemetsk , 11 km above its confluence with the Northern Dvina.
The Waimuga has a length of 152 km. It drains an area of 4150 km². The river is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The Waimuga floods in May .
