Medassi (African for thank you ) is a German reggae band from Landshut .

Medassi has been the opening act for Yellowman , Eek-a-Mouse , Black Uhuru , Alpha Blondy , Julian Marley and The Wailers , among others . They were winners of the Antenne Bayern show Die Junge Wilden and were active at festivals such as Wintertollwood , Riding Higher Benefiz Festival or the Chiemsee Reggae Summer . In 2011 they take part in the Rototom Reggae Contest Europe . On November 5, 2013, Alexander Körösy died unexpectedly of a stroke.
