Media Nova is the first privately owned Angolan media group .

The company was founded in 2008 in the capital of Angola, Luanda , and is based in the new Luanda Sul district in the south of the city. It owns the popular TV station TV Zimbo , which has been on the air with a full program since December 2008 , the radio station Rádio Mais , the Damer printing company and a sales organization. The media group also sells various newspapers and magazines. These include the weekly O País , the business weekly Semanário Económico and the monthly magazine Exame (Angola), the latter as a licensed edition of the Brazilian counterpart of Editora AbrilPublishing house from São Paulo.

In January 2012, the Medianova media group agreed a comprehensive exchange of content, services and training programs for professionals with the Portuguese news agency Lusa .
