The Mefford Knoll is a rocky hill or ledge in Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica . In the Flood Range it rises on the lower western slope of Mount Berlin .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after Michael Mefford, who had belonged to a team of the United States Antarctic Research Program , which between 1971 and 1972 studied the dynamics of the Antarctic Ice Sheet in the area northeast of Byrd Station .
