Meg Hemphill ( Jap. ヘンプヒル恵 , Hempuhiru Megu; * 23. May 1996 in Tanabe ) is a Japanese athlete, referring to the heptathlon specializes.

Athletic career

Meg Hemphill competed in her first international competition at the 2013 World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where she finished seventh in the heptathlon with 5454 points and made it to the semifinals in the 100-meter hurdles . Two years later she took part in the Asian Championships in Wuhan , where she was fourth with 5493 points. Two years later, she won the silver medal behind the Indian Swapna Barman at the 2017 Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar . In 2018 she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and finished sixth there with 5654 points. The following year she could not finish her competition at the Asian Championships in Doha .

In 2017 Hemphill became the Japanese heptathlon champion. She is a student at Chūō University in Tokyo .
