action

Young Avery returns to her hometown in the swamps of Louisiana after graduating . Her family has held grudges against the Doucette family for centuries. Much to her father's displeasure, Avery is in a relationship with the son of the warring head of the family. The Doucettes are whiskey makers; a bad batch they dispose of in the river. The alligators living there mutate .

This new species of alligator reproduces quickly and is extremely aggressive towards humans. The reptiles can fire their spines on the tail end like bolts. When there are many human losses to be lamented, the Robichaud family and the Doucette family join forces. They quickly find out that a bitten human slowly turns into an alligator, but retains his humanity. Avery is saved from drowning by her father after his father's transformation from a swamp.

Both families and the local police station suffered many losses during the fight against the reptiles. Avery's friend, who previously turned into an alligator and was fatally injured against a conspecific, is also killed. In the end, Avery succeeds in luring all the alligators into a barn and then setting them on fire with a Molotov cocktail . Due to the explosion, she passes out, but is rescued from the fire by one of the transformed. With this alligator and her newborn baby from her dead friend, she continues to live by the river.

criticism

“A cheaply produced, badly staged and played horror film that instead of horror just creates boredom. The ridiculously lousy effects don't even have the slightest hint of "trashy" charm. "
