Thomas Francis Murphy

Thomas Francis Murphy (born 1953 in Dayton , Ohio ) is an American actor .

Life

Before becoming a film actor, Murphy worked in animal husbandry and factory floors. He completed training as a protective helmet diver, ambulance driver, social worker and worked as a freelance theater critic. In the mid to late 1980s, while living in Little Rock, he decided to take an acting class. Then he began to play in some theaters. He continued his education at institutions such as Shakespeare & Co in Lenox and performed for years in off-Broadway houses in New York, where his portrayals in the plays of Sam Shepard in the New York Times and several other publications received high praise. Murphy has lived in New Orleans since 2013 .

He had his first film role in 2008 in Paper Covers Rock . From 2014 to 2015 he starred in eight episodes of the television series Salem in the role of Reverend Lewis . He impersonated the character Brion in the television series The Walking Dead from 2017 to 2018 . In 2019 he played the Hagamond Sheen in the mini-TV series Filthy Rich in a total of six episodes.
