action

Comic book author Beck, his girlfriend Candice and Beck's brother Jiminey go in search of a ghost town . In “Freedom”, Beck hopes, he wants to get inspiration for his new comic book. Because the once flourishing city is said to have been the site of a gigantic methane gas accident and legend has it that wild children are staying in its ruins. But before they reach the city, their windshield is destroyed by a stone throw. Shortly afterwards they reach a small diner in which they are warned that the city is in danger of collapsing and that they should turn back.

The three ignore all warnings. When they inspect one of the houses, their car is stolen. Shortly afterwards, all three of them are overwhelmed and find themselves in an old school. There, housed separately from one another, the prisoners are forced to compete for food in a life-and-death struggle. To do this, they are systematically starved.

After a few fights, Jiminey and Beck have to compete against each other. Jiminey sacrifices himself for his brother, but since he committed suicide, Beck does not get the longed-for meal. Beck finally manages to get through to Candice. The two try to break out, but the crazy Michael and his mutated wife prevent the breakout at the last second.

Then Micheal, who was forced to eat his own children in the methane gas accident and therefore carries out these experiments, sets the two on each other. Beck fakes his death and can overwhelm Micheal's wife. On the run they can kill Micheal and alert the police.

When the police arrive, the two police officers are overpowered by Michael’s wife.
