Big Daddy Weave is an American Christian rock band that formed in 1998 in Mobile , Alabama .
history
The band members met while at college in Mobile, Alabama. Mike Weaver was also serving as a worship leader in Florida at this time .
In 2001 the band released their first album Neighborhoods , followed by the second album One and Only the next year, with which they debuted on the Billboard Top Christian Albums . In 2002 the band was nominated for a Dove Award in the New Artist of the Year category. With their third album Fields of Grace , released in 2003, they hit the Billboard 200 and top 10 Christian albums. Big Daddy Weave achieved her greatest success to date with her seventh studio album Love Come to Life , which was released in 2012, reached third place on the Top Christian Albums and stayed in these charts for over 100 weeks. The resulting single Redeemed was awarded platinum by the RIAA .
