Megaradio (spelling: "MEGA Radio") is a private radio station . He is the legal successor to Fantasy Bayern . The station started on October 23, 2011 on digital radio DAB + and replaced its predecessor there.
MEGA Radio broadcasts an information program. This includes current news and weather reports, which are played every half and full hour. In addition to its pop-based radio program, the program is supplemented by currently researched articles. The program sequence and transmission technology for the introduction to the network operators are implemented by the technical director of the program, Christian Leger.
In an interview on the 25th anniversary of augsburg tv in March 2019, the owner Peter Valentino explained that he would like to create a broadcasting chain in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with Mega Radio.
The program can be received via DAB + digital radio in the broadcasting areas Augsburg , Hamburg , Ingolstadt , Munich and Nuremberg . The program can be received in a time-limited window via the Mega Radio SNA station in Hessen.
reception
From November 7, 2011 to September 1, 2013, the station was broadcast in the nationwide Bavarian DAB multiplex 12D and then switched to the local multiplexes Augsburg 9C, Nuremberg 10C, Ingolstadt 11A and Munich 11C. Then there is the distribution in Hamburg 11C.
In the region around Augsburg, the program could also be received via the cable network analogue on VHF 95.5 MHz. In addition, the station can be received via live stream on the Internet.
Mega Radio 80`s
After approval of a further program slot on the DAB + multiplexes in Augsburg and Ingolstadt, the format "MEGA 80s", which supplements the regular program and focuses on music from the 80s, has been broadcast on these slots since June 8, 2014. The offshoot has been spread in Augsburg 9C and Ingolstadt 11A since June 8, 2014.
Since January 31, 2018, Megaradio 80's can be received as part of a small-scale DAB project in Leipzig on Kanal 6C and in Freiberg on Kanal 10D.
Mega Radio SNA
Since mid-January 2015, Megaradio Bayern has also been broadcasting the Mega Radio SNA offshoot , which takes over the programming of the Russian partner SNA-Radio 18 hours a day . In February 2015, this program replaced the main program that had been broadcast there since June 2013 in the DAB + broadcast area of Berlin and could be received until March 1, 2019, before it was switched off by the MABB after various court decisions. The program can still be received in Hesse (since February 16, 2015) via DAB +, and broadcast via DAB + in North Rhine-Westphalia is to follow.
Mega Radio Austria
The program can be heard in Austria and Switzerland as Mega Radio Austria and broadcasts an information and news program in cooperation with SNA Radio.
It is broadcast in Vienna in DAB Ensemble 11C and in Bern and Friborg in Digris' DAB network D04-BE on channel 10A.
Sout al Khaleej Radio
Mega Radio Bayern appears in the DAB + broadcasting areas of Vienna and Geneva as the organizer and licensee of the Arabic-speaking provider Sout al Khaleej from Doha, Qatar and London.
Sout Al Khaleej is a 24-hour broadcaster in Arabic and German with Arabic music. The program aims to contribute to hospitality and openness to the world and is primarily aimed at Arabs and Arabic-speaking tourists. Sout Al Khaleej operates on the European market. The program can also be heard in London on digital radio.
In Switzerland, it is broadcast in the Digris' DAB networks in Geneva on channel 10D and in central Switzerland on channel 5D.
Türk RadYo
Megaradio Bayern applied for the Turkish RadYo program for the Bavarian DAB + city networks in Nuremberg and Augsburg in January 2019, but was not selected.
Radio Fantasy Vienna
In July 2019, the branch of the Augsburg Radio Fantasy was allocated a program slot in the DAB Ensemble Vienna 11C. Broadcasting began on September 25, 2019, broadcasting a non-stop music program similar to a streaming provider.
