Meginhard (Fulda)
Meginhard ( Fuldensis , from Fulda; * before 851 ; † 888 ) was a Benedictine monk and monk of the Fulda monastery in the 9th century. As a student of the famous teacher and historian Rudolf von Fulda , he is said to have continued his annals .
A marginal note in the original manuscript ensures that Meginhard completed the Translatio S. Alexandri begun by Rudolf , the report on the transfer of the relics of Alexander from Rome to Fulda in 851.
In addition, Meginhard has given a sermon on St. Ferrutius , whose relics Archbishop Lullus (Lul) had transferred from Mainz to Bleidenstadt .
