Career
Club career
Born in Dijon to an Algerian father and French mother , he played for the youth teams of FCO Dijon and AS Monaco after starting his career at Fontaine-les-Dijon FC .
At the beginning of his senior career he played for the reserve teams of Monaco and Hannover 96 and in 2004 moved to the third division for relegated second division ASOA Valence . After the club broke up in the summer of 2005 due to bankruptcy, he moved to the fourth division EDS Montluçon after just one season . A year later he left the club and accepted an offer from FC Sète .
When he then drew attention to himself with good performances, he was committed by league rivals Olympique Nîmes in the summer of 2007 . After advancing with his team, he played in Ligue 2 for the first time in the 2008/09 season . Shortly after Nîmes relegated from the second division, he signed a contract on June 6, 2011 until 2013 with Ligue 1 promoted AC Ajaccio . On August 6, 2011 he made his debut for Ajaccio in the French top division against FC Toulouse . He scored his first league game goal shortly afterwards on September 21 in the game against HSC Montpellier . Towards the end of the 2013/14 season Mostefa led the Ajaccio team as captain on the field, but could not prevent relegation to the 2nd division.
In May 2014 he announced that he would be leaving AC Ajaccio in order to pursue an experience abroad. On August 7, Mostefa signed a three-year contract with the French first division club FC Lorient .
In August 2015 he moved to SC Bastia . There he completed two seasons and then went on to Paphos FC in Cyprus for a year . He has been under contract with AS Béziers since 2018 .
National team
In October 2010, he was appointed by Abdelhak Benchikha for the first time in the squad of the Algerian national team and finally made his debut on November 17 of the same year in a friendly against Luxembourg . After taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013 with Algeria , he was appointed to the squad for the 2014 World Cup in May 2014 , where he played two games. After the tournament he was no longer considered.
