Mehmet Özkul (born August 28, 1980 in Bremen , Germany ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper .
Career
In his youth he played for Werder Bremen and was German runner-up in 1997 with the B-Juniors and German Champion in 1999 with the A-Juniors. In the final he was in goal against the U-19s of VfB Stuttgart from the start. He then joined Sakaryaspor in Turkey in the summer of 1999 , from where he was loaned to the then second division club Çorluspor in October . For this he was used three times up to the summer of 2000. His last game was a 3-0 away win against Pendikspor , in which he was substituted on in the 77th minute. After his return to Sakaryaspor, he was no longer used there and left the club in August.
From 2009 he played for SG Marßel in the Bremen Landesliga and then joined Türkspor Bremen for the 2009/10 season , for which he even scored five goals in five appearances. At the beginning of 2010 he went to the Lüneburg regional league for TB Uphusen , for which he was between the posts a total of 61 times. He then left the region around Bremen for professional reasons and moved to Karlsruhe for SpVgg Olympia Hertha at the beginning of 2013 . There he saw in an away game with the score 0: 3 in the 65th minute against Karlsruher SV because of insults and threats against the referee the red card. The game was then canceled. In 2016 he then went to SG Rüppurr Alemannia-DJK-FG .
