Meholmen ( Norwegian for central island ) is an island off the Prince Harald Coast of Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It is located in the middle of the Flatvær archipelago between Ongul Island and Utholmen Island on the east side of the entrance to Lützow-Holm Bay .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it in 1946 using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . Their naming was based on their geographical position.
