The milestone in Langenweddingen is a small monument in the municipality of Sülzetal in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt .

In the middle of Langenweddingen there is a stone bell more than a meter high in front of the volunteer fire brigade. It is a Prussian half-milestone, the last witness of the once regular stone setting between Magdeburg and Egeln . The milestone in Ottersleben , through which Halberstädter Chaussee also leads, is part of the connection from Magdeburg via Wanzleben to Halberstadt.

Today's federal highway 81 is the direct successor of the old road from Magdeburg to Halberstadt , which, however, was not built in one piece. It is documented that the section from Halberstadt to Gröningen was already completed in 1803, but was created as part of a connection towards Leipzig. The connection between Magdeburg and Egeln, however, did not take place until 1828. One Prussian mile corresponds to 7.532 kilometers. The milestone was 1½ miles (almost 11.3 kilometers) from Magdeburg. In Magdeburg the road had its origin in the Chaussee Magdeburg – Leipzig, so that with the Halberstädter Chaussee a ring connection between Halberstadt, Atzendorf and Magdeburg was created in direct connection with the main connection from Hamburg via Magdeburg to Leipzig, which in 1786 was the first major Prussian Chaussee was decided at all.

The stone, a so-called Big Bell , on the corner of Halberstädter Straße (former B 81) to Wanzleber Straße is probably still almost exactly at its original location. It was on a meadow until 2002, when the area was redesigned. The B 81 now no longer runs along here, but to the west past the place, so that the street name and milestones are the last witnesses of the former Prussian State Office . In Memorial directory is distance stone recorded with the number 094 96,601th
