My head is a brutal place is a German metal band from Frankfurt am Main that was founded in 2012 . The band's music is a mixture of Thrash and Groove Metal , with elements of Hardcore and Stoner Rock . A special trademark of the band is the two-part, German-speaking shout singing.

history

After their predecessor band Unknown Darkness split up, singer Christian Schmidt, guitarist Ralf Zimmermann and guitarist Stefan Richter began rehearsing for a new musical direction in 2011 together with former drummer of the band Ground-Inch Jens Stahler. In 2012 bassist Jürgen Hetz and singer Patrick Schuch completed the band.

In 2013 the first concerts were played and the EP Neue Deutsche Schelle produced by Michael Heiliger was recorded, which was released on The Finest Noise label. In 2014, drummer Jonathan Mehlhart and guitarist Anthony Fay replaced Jens Berninger and Stefan Richter, who had left shortly before. With both the album Brutalin was recorded, which was also produced by Michael Heiliger and recorded in the Presskopp Studios. In 2015 the album was released by The Finest Noise / Timezone . The reviews attest the band an "unmistakable obstinacy" and point to a "[...] consistently entertaining record: straightforward with gang shouts [...] and a lot of fun with simultaneous seriousness and ambition." The extract "I do not regret anything" was published on Legacy No. 100 and Ox-Fanzine No. 124 on the sampler .

My head is a brutal place went on tour with Doyle and (hed) pe and played other concerts, u. a. with Pro-Pain , Lionheart , Destruction , In Other Climes and Billy the Kid.

In 2017 work began on the album Selbstmitleitkultur , which was recorded again by Presskopp Studios and is due to be released on September 21, 2018.
