My pretty little friend is a French comedy film. It is a remake of the Argentine-Brazilian film Corazón de León .

action

Diane is a beautiful woman and a brilliant lawyer. She divorced her husband Bruno a few years ago, but she still runs the same law firm with him.

One evening, Diane receives a call at home from a strange but funny and charming man named Alexandre. Apparently she forgot her cell phone in a cafe because Alexandre found it and intends to return it. The two get along very well and make an appointment. Diane goes to the meeting with great expectations, only to realize that Alexandre is not only a successful architect, but also a man of short stature - he measures only 1.36 meters.

Alexandre bluntly addresses the size difference and understands if Diane is “shocked” and needs time to recover. Diane is also visibly confused, but tries not to let it show. Alexandre persists and persuades her to embark on an "adrenaline-charged, unforgettable adventure in exactly one hour". This turns out to be a tandem parachute jump . Diane is deeply scared before but thrilled afterwards.

As a result, Diane and Alexandre meet more often and begin a relationship. Diane plunges into emotional chaos. On the one hand she loves Alexandre, on the other hand she is uncomfortable to be seen with Alexandre, especially by acquaintances. But she tries steadfastly to deny her fears - of Alexandre and of herself.

In the course of the film there are always conflict situations - e.g. E.g. with Diane's ex-husband or her mother, who react just as negatively as Diane feared. Alexandre is aware of all of this. He understands that all of this is not easy for Diane, but wants confirmation from Diane and asks her several times in the film if he can continue to believe in their relationship.

The last such question finally reveals that Diane is no longer able to continue the relationship. Alexandre then asks her to go. From then on, the two live separately again.

However, the two do not get out of their heads. Alexandre in particular is heartbroken. On the one hand he can understand Diane, on the other hand he misses her very much. After a while, Diane is encouraged to follow her feelings - by her assistant Coralie and also by her mother Nicole, who has since changed her mind herself.

Finally she takes heart and surprises Alexandre at his current job on a construction site in Liège . She lands with a parachute on part of the construction site - even if the landing doesn't quite go as she imagined. Alexandre sends his colleagues away so that he and Diane are undisturbed. Diane apologizes for her earlier behavior and explains to Alexandre that she is now ready to live with him permanently. As with a marriage proposal, she kneels in front of the little man, so that the two are practically eye level, and says: “I love you, little man. Your neck will hurt and my back will hurt. Then we suffer together - what does that matter to us? ”He hesitates for a while, but then they both kiss. The camera moves away and the credits begin.
