Melanie Ahlemeier

Melanie Ahlemeier (* 1974 in Ostwestfalen-Lippe ) is a German journalist .

Career

Ahlemeier grew up in Ostwestfalen-Lippe and studied sociology and social psychology after training as an industrial clerk . After a traineeship at the German Press Agency , she worked as an editor and onliner for the Financial Times Deutschland , as head of the economy / money department at sueddeutsche.de and as news manager and editor- in- chief at the dapd news agency in Berlin. Ahlemeier was then head of the news department at Bild , then business editor / journalist at Süddeutsche Zeitung . Most recently she was the newsroom manager and deputy editor-in-chief at Mannheimer Morgen . Ahlemeier has been the head of service at Spiegel Online since January 2019 .

Ahlemeier was a member of the Pro Quote board from 2014 to 2016 .
