Melanie Schober

Melanie Schober (born March 23, 1985 in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer ) is an Austrian cartoonist .

Career

Melanie Schober was born in 1985 in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer and was already drawing her own comics with enthusiasm as a child. After the broadcast of Sailor Moon on German television, she began to be more and more interested in mangas that shaped her style. In 2005 she received the special prize for Austria at the Connichi competition, was published in the magazine with Drawn Life as part of the Koneko competition and in 2006 came 2nd in the Manga Talents competition at the Leipzig Book Fair . Shortly thereafter, her short story Grimm (ig) appeared in the anthology It was never at the Schwarzer Turm publishing house .

In 2007 she was discovered by Carlsen Verlag and made her debut there with her chibi manga Raccoon . Her first single volume, Personal Paradise , followed the following year, followed by a sequel in the same year called Personal Paradise - Miss Misery . In June 2009 the third part Personal Paradise - Assassin Angel was released , in May 2010 the fourth part Personal Paradise - Killer Kid I , followed by Personal Paradise - Killer Kid II in October 2013. Personal Paradise - Brave Brother 1.0 , was released in August 2017, the seventh volume Personal Paradise - Brave Brother 2.0 was released in the second half of 2018.
