Melanie Vogltanz (born October 12, 1992 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer and translator.

life and work

Melanie Vogltanz studied German Philology and English at the University of Vienna .

She mainly writes in the field of dark fantasy and science fiction . In addition to her novels and short stories, she has published numerous short stories in various anthologies and translated several novels from English. In 2020 she made it onto the shortlist for three of the most important prizes in the fantastic scene. These were the Seraph Fantastic Literature Prize , the Kurd-Laßwitz Prize and the German Science Fiction Prize .
