Melissa Disney (* 20th November 1970 as Melissa Femling ) is an American actress , voice actress , singer , songwriter , writer and film producer . Her best-known speaking role at the moment is that of the title character Ginger Foutley in the English-language original version of the popular Nickelodeon cartoon series As Told by Ginger , which ran in the German-speaking world under the title Gingers Welt .

Melissa Disney is the daughter of Louise Gallagher, a casual actress, and Carl Femling, a writer. She appeared as an actress in Lake Bell's directorial debut, In a World ... , a film about voice actors . Disney played the role of Melinda Chisney in the film.
