Lake Caroline Siegel Bell (born March 24, 1979 in New York City ) is an American actress , film director and screenwriter , mainly known from the justice series Boston Legal produced by David E. Kelley .

Career

In the last episodes of Practice - The Lawyers , Lake Bell first played the role of Sally Heep as a guest actress in 2004 and was then taken over into the regular cast in the spin-off Boston Legal in the same year . After only eleven episodes she was "written out", left the series in 2005, but had a guest appearance in 2006 at the beginning of the third season.

Bell then got the lead role in the science fiction series Surface , which launched on September 19, 2005 on US television on NBC . However, the series was discontinued after only 15 episodes due to lack of success.

Private life

She has been married to the American tattoo artist Scott Campbell since June 2013 . The two are parents of a daughter (* 2014) and a son (* 2017).
