Melissa González (born June 24, 1994 ) is a Colombian hurdler .

Athletic career

Melissa González gained her first international championship experience at the U23 South American Championships in Lima in 2016 , where she won the 400 meter hurdles and the gold medal with the Colombian 4 x 400 meter relay. In 2017 she won the silver medal in the 400 meter hurdles and the bronze medal in the 100 meter hurdles at the South American Championships in Luque . and thus received a bye for the World Championships in London , where she was eliminated again in the lead with 13.40 s . In November she won the bronze medal for the 400 meter hurdles and the 4 x 100 meter relay at the Juegos Bolivarianos in Santa Marta and took fifth place in the 100 meter hurdles.

In 2017 González was Colombian champion over 400 meters hurdles, as well as with the 4 x 400 meter relay.
