Melissa Heiduk (born June 29, 1989 in Bochum ) is a German pop singer . She became known for her participation in X Factor in 2012.

biography

During school, Heiduk sang in the school band, after which she played with the band Half11 from 2009 to 2011 . In addition, the Bochum woman appeared in clubs and at various events in the Ruhr area, including at the Session Possible by the musician Wolf Codera . She also performed her own karaoke show, which she successfully established in the Kult music bar .

After having tried it several times in vain at casting shows , Melissa Heiduk successfully applied to X Factor in 2012 and made it into one of the four groups on the live shows. There she was able to prevail against her two fellow competitors and finally came second behind the folk duo Mrs. Greenbird . In the finale, she sang the song Send Me an Angel by the Scorpions . The song was then offered in the download shops and reached number 51 in the German charts. With the song Bigger Than Big Heiduk applied for a wildcard for Our Song for Austria to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 .
