The Mellor Glacier is a glacier in Mac Robertson Land, East Antarctica . It flows in a north-northeast direction between Mount Newton and Mount Maguire in the Prince Charles Mountains and merges with the Collins Glacier just before it joins the Lambert Glacier at Patrick Point .
It was mapped using aerial photographs taken in 1956 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named him after the glaciologist Malcom Mellor (1933-1991), who worked at Mawson Station in 1957 and from 1961 to 1991 as an engineer for the US Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory .
