Melvin de Leeuw (born April 25, 1988 in Bergen op Zoom ) is a Dutch football player .

Career

Melvin de Leeuw learned to play football in the youth teams of the clubs RKSV Halsteren , NAC Breda and RBC Roosendaal in the Netherlands . He signed his first contract in 2007 with the Dutch second division club RBC Roosendaal. He played 94 times for Roosendaal and scored 18 goals. In 2011 he moved to Leeuwarden for league rivals SC Cambuur . He was on the field for the club 59 times. In mid-2013 he moved to Scotland , where he joined the first division club Ross County . Here he scored nine goals in 39 games. In 2015 he went to Asia , where he signed a contract with the Thai first division club Army United in Bangkok . After the relegation of the Army, he left the club and went to the second division Khon Kaen United FC . After the club was banned from the association during the 2016 season, he moved to Lanexang United FC in Laos in October 2016 . For the club he was on the field eleven times until December. In 2017 he signed another contract with his former club Army United. For the return series he was given to the league rivals Lampang FC . He played in the second division with Lampang until the end of 2019. In 2020 he moved to league rivals Chiangmai United FC in Chiangmai .
