The Melzer See is a lake near Melz in the Mecklenburg Lake District in southern Mecklenburg.
Size and location
The body of water has a size of 29.1 hectares and is 63.1 m above sea level. NHN . The maximum extent of the elongated, slightly curved lake is 1700 × 220 m. The Elde flows through it from south to north . With its larger arm, the Elde in Buchholz (near Röbel) flows into the Müritzsee , with a smaller part near Priborn into the Müritzarm . The Müritzarm leads both parts of the elde into the Müritz . Melz is located on the west bank of the Melzer See . The east bank is occupied by agricultural land. Only the north end is forest, which gradually narrows with marshy banks to the Eldeausfluss.
