To the northwest of the hamlet there is a kettle of ice from the Isar-Loisach glacier .

history

The place name suggests a settlement from the time of the Alemannic conquest; the villages of Obermühlhausen , Hagenheim and Hofstetten were probably also settled from Memming in the 7th century .

Memming is first mentioned in 912 as Mammingen , the place name comes from the personal name Mammo.

The hamlet belonged to the Mitteramt of the Landsberg district court , in 1752 two half courtyards are mentioned. Both belonged to the Hl. Geist Spital in Landsberg.
