Hagenheim is a district of the municipality of Hofstetten in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .

geography

The church village of Hagenheim is about two kilometers south of Hofstetten on a broad moraine ridge of the Ammersee glacier.

history

Settlement can be proven as early as the 7th century through the discovery of several row graves at the nearby Egelsee . The place itself, like Obermühlhausen and Hofstetten, was probably created as a relocation of today's hamlet of Memming during the clearing time.

Hagenheim is mentioned for the first time in 943 in a deed of gift from Noble Durinc as Haginheim . In this he bequeathed the village to the Wessobrunn monastery . The place name comes from Old High German and designates an enclosed place.

Initially located in the area of influence of the Guelphs , the place fell to the Wittelsbachers after their extinction in 1231 . As early as 1270, Hagenheim appeared in the Landsberg caste register.

From the High Middle Ages until the secularization of 1803, the Wessobrunn Monastery held extensive possessions and the right of patronage in Hagenheim. Of the 21 properties mentioned in 1552, 12 of the Wessobrunn monastery, four of the city of Landsberg and two of the community are ready to be built. Furthermore, four properties are self-contained, including a half courtyard and three sixteenth courtyards.

In 1752, 35 properties are already mentioned, 17 are the Wessobrunn monastery, seven of the municipality of Hagenheim, three each of the Landsberg city chamber and three of the Baron Lösch, two of the Landsberg Jesuit college and one property each of the church in Sandau, the monastery Dießen and one shift from the Hofmark Windach groundable. There is only one property left.

In legal terms, the church village belonged to the Ummendorf area of the Upper Office of the Landsberg Regional Court , which held both the low and high jurisdiction .

In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria, the municipality of Hagenheim was established in the Landsberg district court with the municipal edict of 1818.

Hagenheim was an independent municipality until the regional reform and was incorporated into Hofstetten on January 1, 1972.
