Menard is the district capital and seat of the county seat of Menard County in the US state of Texas in the United States .

The city is located on the San Saba River , a little southwest of the geographic center of Texas, at the junction of US Highway 83 with US Highway 190 and has a total area of ​​5.3 km² without any significant water surface.
