Menelaus Ridge is a 1370 m high and snowy mountain ridge with four peaks on the Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . As part of the Achaean Range in the center of the island, it looms between Mount Agamemnon and Mount Helen .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey surveyed the mountain in 1955. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1957 after Menelaus , King of Sparta in the Iliad by the ancient Greek poet and author Homer .
