Menhir La Haute Pierre

The menhir La Haute Pierre (also called Pierre-d'en-Haut) is 500 meters northwest of the Cantache dam, southeast of Feu-Lambert and about two kilometers from Champeaux near Vitré in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in Brittany in France . Menhirs of this name (Menhir la Haute Pierre von Saint-Pierre-Église) are more common in France, and a dolmen northeast of Villiers-au-Bouin bears the name "La Haute Pierre".

The approximately rectangular Menhir of quartz is 4.07 meters high, 1.85 meters wide at the base and one meter thick, and is one of the oldest in the Brittany. It stands 800 meters northwest of the menhir of Villaumur in Pocé-les-Bois . The Haute Pierre and the two menhirs in Poce (Villaumur and La Pierre Blanche ) are on one line.

The menhir was registered as a Monument historique in 1980 .
