Meret Matter

Meret Matter (born April 27, 1965 in Bern ) is a Swiss theater director .

Life

Meret Matter is the daughter of the Bernese troubadour Mani Matter and the politician Joy Matter . She attended drama school in Bern and has worked as a director ever since. She has two children and lives in Bern and the south of France.

In 1989 she founded the theater group Club 111 together with Grazia Pergoletti and Ruth Schwegler , first in the "Tojo Theater", their own venue in the riding school in Bern , and from 2003 in the Schlachthaus Theater in Bern .

From 2000 she directed at the Lucerne Theater , the Schauspielhaus Zurich , the Schauspiel Hannover and the Theater Freiburg . In addition, she still works in the independent scene .
