Merry Anders

Merry Anders (actually Mary Helen Anderson ; born May 22, 1934 in Cook County , Illinois - † October 28, 2012 in Encino , California ) was an American actress .

Life

Anders began her career in 1954 with the successor to Ann Todd as the daughter of the main actor in the last season of the Stu Erwin Show , before an engagement in the 26-part sitcom It's Always Jan followed, which was broadcast in 1956. The series How to Marry a Millionaire , developed after the successful film, ran over two seasons , in which Anders, Barbara Eden and Lori Nelson played three girls living in New York from 1957 to 1959 in search of their wealthy husbands. Until the mid-1960s, Anders appeared in numerous television series as a guest star; The last time she shot several episodes at Dragnet in 1967 , where she played a role in a total of seven episodes.

Her screen career was extensive but limited to B-films ; numerous low-budget genre films with no appreciable qualities make up the bulk of her work in this field. In 1972 Anders retired from acting and worked for a division of Litton Industries . In 1994 she retired.
