Meschede-Land was a municipality in what was then the Meschede district until 1974 . Its sub-locations today belong to the city of Meschede in the Hochsauerlandkreis in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The villages and hamlets of Berghausen , Enste , Ensthof , Galilee , Heggen , Hellern , Immenhausen, Laer , Löttmaringhausen , Schederberge and Windhäuser belong to the municipality of Meschede-Land . Hellern was flooded by the Hennestausee around 1905 .

history

The community was made up of rural areas that were parish to Meschede, but were not directly connected to the city and had no urban character. In the first half of the 19th century it was also called the parish of Meschede .

With the introduction of the Westphalian rural community order in 1844, Meschede-Land became a rural community in the Meschede district of the Meschede district.

On January 1, 1975, the municipality was incorporated into the city of Meschede by the Sauerland / Paderborn law . Your area is still an official district today .

Architectural monuments
