The place is about 1.5 kilometers southeast of Meschede on the L 740. The K 43 runs through Löttmaringhausen and flows the Kleine Henne . The neighboring places are Heggen and Meschede.
history
In the 14th century there was a hoof from the Meschede Abbey in “Lotmerinchusen” . Early clues about the size of the place can be found in an appraisal register for the year 1543. According to this, there were three persons required to be appraised in “Lüttmeringhausen”; the number should have agreed with the farms or houses that existed at the time.
Since the reorganization by the Sauerland / Paderborn law on January 1, 1975, Löttmaringhausen has belonged to the Hochsauerlandkreis and is a district of the city of Meschede.
